What can we expect from you at wwktm2019?

Hopefully you’ll come out of my talk with better understanding on how the newer CSS layout properties work and use them in your own projects as well.

Why is the topic relevant today and especially for wwktm2019?

CSS has evolved a lot over the past two decades. It is more powerful and it is much easier to do things that were very hacky in the past. I want to share that knowledge with all of you.

Any background reading you would suggest to those that want to come prepared?

It’s not mandatory to do so, but I highly recommend reading the CSS specifications for Box Alignment, Flexbox and Grid. They are a lot more readable than most people expect.

What is the best and worst thing about your career so far?

The best part is constantly learning new things, it’s never boring. The worst part is probably the fear of getting left behind.

What is your advice to people wanting to be where you are in the industry?

The best way to learn is to share your journey, because explaining something to another person is the best way to check your own understanding!
